Blue Ridge Floors, Asheville’s premier local flooring store, is accepting nominations for Asheville area residents in need of new floors.

Blue Ridge Floors has announced its holiday flooring giveaway event that will award up to three local Asheville area families to receive brand new floors. The local flooring company is hosting an online giveaway that will award up to three lucky families with newly installed floors worth $7,500! Community members who would like to submit one or more nominations can enter the drawing using the form below. Entrants should please include a photo and a few paragraphs about the family and floors in need of replacement. All entries must be submitted by DEC. 24, 2023. Once all submissions are received, a panel of Blue Ridge Floors and community partners will review each nominee and vote to select the winner. The winner will receive an email response that includes details regarding their prize.
2022 Blue Ridge Floors Holiday Giveaway Winners
We are honored to announce Bobby and Shelia Morris as the deserving winners of our 2022 Holiday Giveaway. A beloved veteran and the indispensable ISS teacher at Enka High School, Bobby, alongside his wife Shelia, who’s endured ten back surgeries, epitomizes resilience. Their story touched our hearts, especially their struggle with the current flooring exacerbating their health challenges. Despite the hurdles life has thrown, the Morris family has remained a steadfast part of our community. The panel of judges at Blue Ridge Floors was deeply moved by their enduring spirit and unwavering contribution to the community. This recognition is a small gesture from Blue Ridge Floors to alleviate their daily challenges and show appreciation for their longstanding community service.
We are elated to replace the carpeting in their home with flooring that will ease their daily lives and hope this gesture enhances their living conditions, bringing them comfort and joy. Through their story, we are reminded of the profound impact of community and the difference we can make when we come together to support one another.
2021 Blue Ridge Floors Holiday Giveaway Winners
Sandy works at the local school in the cafeteria she has been with for over 20 years and her late husband Teddy was a local carpenter. They started building their new house in 2004 as the funds came available they put it into the home, but in 2015 Teddy passed away unexpectedly; leaving the home unfinished at that time. Sandy was not able to go any further as Teddy was doing the labor himself. 3 months after her husband’s death she got full custody of her 3 grand boys Jan 2020 she has now ended up with custody of her now 7-month old grand boy. The boys ages are 7yrs, 9yrs, 14yrs and the 7months.
Sandy and Teddy had purchased the property back in 1989 and bought a 60s model 2-bedroom mobile home; this is still the current home of the family. This home’s age is showing and there was black mold inside the home ceilings are dropping the furnace was not reliable there are many issues and health concerns. Not only were we able to install new flooring for Sandy and her family in their future home, but we were also able to help improve the condition of their current living situation.

Event Rules: Valid nominations must be current residents living within 25mi. of Asheville, NC. Blue Ridge Floors (herein referred to as “Sponsor”) employees, as well as subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, advertising and promotion agencies, employees’ immediate family members, etc., are ineligible to participate. Entrants and nominees (herein referred to as “Participants”) agree to abide by the Sponsor’s Official Rules and decisions. Sponsor maintains the right to refuse, withdraw, or disqualify entries at its sole discretion. All nominations must be submit before 12:00AM on December 25th, 2023. Participant’s entry constitutes an agreement to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, etc., against all claims liability, illness, injury, death, loss, etc., that occurs directly or indirectly from participation in the contest or use/misuse of the awarded prize. Any disputes must be handled in person by appointment with the Sponsor.
